The White Insight 7610 is the advanced power model in Truth Japan’s White Insight series, developed specifically for bluefin and yellowfin tuna in the extreme conditions of Japan’s Tsugaru Strait, one of the world’s most challenging tuna fishing areas.
The rod is designed for anglers seeking more power, more control, and the ability to apply continuous pressure on large fish over time, even in strong current conditions and high drags.
Since its launch, the 7610 has proven itself by landing bluefin tuna weighing over 170kg in Oma, an area considered one of the world’s most prestigious tuna destinations.
Power not measured by lifting alone
The 7610 is approximately 20% stronger than the White Insight 7210 model, but the philosophy behind it differs from traditional power rods.
Instead of focusing solely on lifting power, the rod was designed to allow the angler to transfer a significant portion of the load to the gimbal and belt, reducing strain on the hands, back, and grip, and maintaining efficiency even during exceptionally long fights.
The result is the ability to continue applying pressure on the fish over time, while conserving energy and maintaining better control.

The length provides excellent casting distances and efficient work with large poppers and pencils, without compromising fighting ability.
The tip maintains a relatively soft feel and allows natural lure action, while the lower section of the blank delivers significant lifting power even against exceptionally large fish.
