The OceanSprinter 8110 was developed specifically for anglers targeting giant trevally (GT) and large amberjack (Hiramasa) in shallow areas (shallows), where every meter of line is critical and the load on the equipment is maximal.

The central concept in development was to create a rare balance: “lightness” in casting and operation, alongside “stickiness” (Nebari) and lifting power from the moment the fish is caught. The rod was designed primarily to make it easier to bring in the fish, and not just to be a “strong rod.”

Main Features and Benefits:

Power with “Softness”: The rod is designed to work with PE#8 to PE#10 line, but it is not stiff. It has a deep and forgiving bending ability designed to cope with the violent and sudden runs of large fish.

Honest Bend Curve: As the load increases, the rod bends smoothly and evenly. This feature prevents sudden voltage changes on the fish (which reduces escapes) and reduces the shocks transmitted to the angler’s body. The result: stable and constant pressure on the fish throughout the fight.

Casting Performance: The flexible blank reduces the load on the body during the cast and allows you to cast small and large lures (100 g-270 g) with surprising comfort relative to the power of the rod.

Lure Operation: The rod is very suitable for pencils and also for poppers (such as Hammerhead G-Cup or ExtremeLure Dekagero). The feeling with poppers is of “water entanglement” and flowing movement, less of an aggressive “bouncing” action.

Who is the rod suitable for?

Angler Weight: The rod is recommended for anglers with a body weight of 70 kg and above (to safely utilize its full power), but lighter anglers with good technique will also be able to get the most out of it.

Fighting Style: Designed for those who want to work at a higher load than the #8 (838) model, and for those who like the feeling of casting with a strong “push.”

Confidence in Equipment: The rod is ideal for anglers who until now have been afraid to work with a closed drag (High Load). The forgiving taper absorbs the runs and allows you to work confidently with a drag of about 15 kg (and in tests it even reached 18 kg in strong currents)
