While the previous models in the series (OceanSprinter 838 / 8110) were primarily developed to make it easier to control the fish and “catch the fish” (User Friendly), the 711RS model was created for advanced anglers looking for a faster game (Speedy), a sharp casting feel (“Crisp”), and full manual control over the lure.

The RS marking is short for Response – the rod is designed to provide an immediate and sharp response to every action of the angler.

Main features:

Popper specialization: The rod is specifically designed to work with poppers (such as Hammerhead C/D/E) and diving poppers (like NativeWorks Napalm 220/250). Its calibration allows for a water “explosion” and precise operation that is difficult to achieve with softer rods. However, with the right technique, it is also suitable for operating Diving Pencils.

High Repulsion Blank: The blank is stiff and has a fast return capability. This allows you to create actions for lures that cannot be achieved with a soft tip, and gives a “Manual Operation” feel where every hand movement is directly transferred to the lure.

Short length for convenience: The relatively short length (7 ft and 11 in) was chosen to allow continuous and comfortable work for a long time without fatigue, while maintaining the ability to cast to exceptional distances.

Casting ability: The rod has a narrow and focused “Sweet Spot”, which gives a sharp and accurate casting feel. The key indicates that for him, a weight of about 140 g feels the most comfortable to cast, but anglers with physical strength can also load it with higher weights than specified.

Fighting style: The springy blank allows for quick lifts and rapid subjugation of the fish.
