PE protective line from Shimano Ocea, worn over the main line and designed specifically to protect the knot area—the most sensitive point in the system during casting.

The Covered Knot helps significantly reduce tangles during casting, prevents damage to the knot area, and ensures that critical casts aren’t lost due to system failure.

In addition to protection during casting, the line provides an extra layer of defense during battles with strong fish. When the fish dives under the boat and the main line rubs against the hull or rigid structures, the Shimano Ocea Covered Knot helps reduce abrasion, tearing, and cutting of the main line, maintaining the integrity of your fishing system.

Made from Honeywell Spectra® fibers with high strength and abrasion resistance, in a 16-strand braided construction for smooth passage through rod guides and maximum durability in the knot area.

Relatively hard wax coating gives the line moderate stiffness, improving the ease of threading the main PE line using a needle or wire when setting up the system.
