Gamakatsu Taman Fishing Hook
The strongest hook for bait fishing
The Taman series was originally developed in Japan (Okinawa) to handle the Spangled Emperor fish (Taman in Japanese, Sheepshead Seabream in Israel). This fish is known for its formidable jaws capable of crushing crabs and shells, and violent runs into the rocks. Therefore, this hook is designed to be unbreakable and have brutal stopping power.
In Israel, this hook is suitable for shore anglers targeting large and strong fish such as Sargos, Sea Bream, Grouper, and Seabass.
- Short Shank: Provides superior leverage for the angler and reduces the chance of the hook straightening under load.
- Slightly Curved Hook Point (Semi-Beak): The point angles slightly inward (but not like a Circle hook). This helps keep the point sharp from hitting rocks and ensures the fish doesn’t easily come off during jumps or head shakes.
