Gamakatsu Nanpou Tsuwamono Fishing Hook
The Nanpou Tsuwamono represents the pinnacle of Gamakatsu’s development for extreme fishing. This hook was specifically designed to solve the most common failure in giant fish angling: leader cut-off by the fish’s teeth.
The Technology: Unlike conventional inline hooks, the Nanpou Tsuwamono uses an inward-curved profile. This engineering design ensures the hook slides out of the fish’s jaw and sets exclusively in the corner of the mouth. This mechanism keeps the leader away from the fish’s cutting teeth and also prevents jaw lock in groupers, snappers, and reef fish with crushing jaws.
- Intended Use: Ideal for “live bait” fishing, kite fishing, and boat fishing for monsters.
- Eye: Designed for tying extra-heavy leaders or steel cables.
